It was founded by late Dr. Mohammad Irfan who served as Medical Superintendent to Governmental Mental & General Hospital Dhodial for more than 25 years. Dr. Mohammad Irfan as the pioneer psychiatrist of Hazara established Irfan Hospital in Mansehra soon after his retirement in 1992.
